Program Overview:
Ride United provides individuals with Lyft codes that cover $22 per ride (each way) for essential transportation needs.
How it Works:

Connect with us to see if you qualify for the program.

Complete a quick intake so we can get you set up.

Receive ride credits that load directly into your Lyft app.

Book your ride through Lyft whenever you need transportation.
Qualifications:
- Rider must have a smart phone with access to the Lyft App. The individual must provide a backup payment method (overages, late fee, etc.)
- The ride must begin and end within the city limits of Bend, Redmond, or La Pine.
- Riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
- The ride must fall under one of the following essential categories:
- Employment: job interviews, commute to/from work, technology acquisition
- Health: medical/dental/eye appointments, substance use support, mental health support, apply for Medicare/Medicaid/ CHIP services, VA services, Home from ER, pharmacy services
- Food: grocery stores, prepared/hot meals, food pantry/bank, SNAP/WIC benefit access
- Education: enrollment, commute to/from school, class, daycare, guardian school engagement, library or internet access, technology acquisition
- Legal: eviction court, court ordered community service, probation/parole check in, Court ordered education, commute to/from court proceedings/counsel, record expungement
- Housing: accessing & maintaining benefits (vouchers, rental assistance, etc.) emergency shelter, utilities assistance.
- Economic stability: financial coaching/empowerment, tax preparation services, essential supplies (non-food), record obtainment, Transportation services
*Note: We document each ride via a short intake form, which includes basic demographic information.
