There is $50,000 available to distribute amongst local 501c3 nonprofit, faith‑based, and governmental agencies currently providing financial stability and community resilience services in Deschutes County.
This year, the Local Emergency Food & Shelter Board has identified the priority funding area: organizations that provide gift cards or vouchers for essential needs—such as food, gas, transportation, propane, diapers, and period/menstrual or incontinence products—to help offset basic needs, housing, utility, and transportation costs for financially vulnerable community members.
Organizations with existing programs delivering these essential services to individuals in Deschutes County are encouraged to apply.
Please note that EFSG funding is intended as short-term support to address gaps in service and should not be considered ongoing or sustainable funding. EFSG funding is not intended to be used to pilot or startup a new program. Requests from agencies receiving Deschutes County funding for a specific program or service will not be considered for this grant if the request is for the same or similar work.
